Patella Ink Earns Excellence in Communications Award For Café Web Site
CRANBURY, NJ – November 10, 2008 -- Patella Ink Creative Communications (www.patellaink.com) of Cranbury, NJ, was awarded a MarCom Platinum Award – the highest honor given by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals - for the creation of the web site for the Blue Rooster Bakery & Café (www.blueroosterbakery.com).
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals. Believed to be the largest competition of its kind in the world, MarCom Awards had over 5,000 entrants in 2008 from communicators ranging from individuals to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.
“It is always an achievement to be recognized by your peers, but it makes us particularly proud to have received this honor for our work with the Blue Rooster Bakery & Café,” said Wendi Patella, president of Patella Ink Creative Communications. “This award proves that creativity and excellence in promoting a good product is not only for large corporations. Small businesses can, and should, expect high-quality results no matter the scope of the project.”
Recognizing the importance of local marketing and communications in the highly-competitive restaurant industry, The Blue Rooster Bakery and Café partnered with Patella Ink six months prior to their opening. The restaurant’s creative website, electronic newsletter and online blog helped build excitement and a following among the eager, local community.
“Nearly 500 local residents had already subscribed to our Blue Rooster e-Newsletter – long before we had even served a single cup of coffee of sold a single baguette,” said Karen Finigan, who, along with husband, Bob, opened the Blue Rooster in September, 2008. “Results like that prove the value of strong, pro-active communications.”
MarCom’s Platinum Award is presented to communicators judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition. Winners are recognized for their excellence in quality, creativity and resourcefulness.
Patella Ink Creative Communications was founded in 2002 and is led by principals, John Patella and Wendi Patella. The firm serves clients ranging from non-profit organizations, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies in industries as diverse as healthcare, education, retail and food service and environmental services.
The Blue Rooster Bakery and Café serves breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea in one of Cranbury’s most historic homes. Its retail shop features artisan breads and a variety of specialty treats prepared by master baker Bob Finigan.
